We are off to a wonderful start!

The school is bustling with energy in all the best ways possible. Classrooms have been busy setting up routines and focusing on our 2 school expectations of kindness and responsibility. As a whole school community, we are working on acknowledging positive behavior and celebrating as a class and a whole school when we meet a specific goal. You can read more about our positive behavior approach in our PBIS handbook. We will continue to hold assembly every Thursday from 8:10am - 8:40am. Please join us if you can! Assembly is a time to connect, share, and engage as a whole community.

Now that we are entering our 3rd week of school we are hoping to spend a little less time on teaching routines and more time getting into all the wonders of learning and growing as class communities. Here is how you can help:

Kindly do your best to have your child to school no later than 8am If arriving between 7:30 - 8:00, please drop your child off and direct them to the side entrance. I will be there for morning supervision and to let students in for breakfast.

At morning drop off, please only walk your child to the side door (if before 8) and front door (8 or after), not the classroom. Teachers have tight schedules and while they love connecting with parents it is important that classroom schedules are established and followed.

Please communicate after school plans with your child and call/email Matt (453- 2119/mwood@lincolnsd.org) as soon as possible if something changes.

It has been wonderful to meet so many of you these past few weeks. I look forward to our continued partnership. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. My direct line is 453-7822 or you can email me at bking@lincolnsd.org. Thank you for your warm welcome into this wonderful community.

With gratitude, Brooke
