Meet the District Team
The Lincoln School District is a prek-12 district, newly formed in July 2023, responsible for the pre-k students participating in universal preK programming, the K-6 students attending the Lincoln Community School, and the middle and high school students who attend different schools through the school choice program. As a small district, the district office is led by three professionals who oversee all aspects of the district and play multiple roles and who are supported by a number of part-time consultants.
Dr. Amy Cole, Superintendent
Dr. Amy Cole joined the Lincoln School District in January 2024, following a long career in public education in Vermont and New Hampshire. Formerly a middle school teacher then curriculum director, Amy was most recently the Assistant Head of School for an independent school in Hawaii before returning to Vermont with her family in 2024. Amy has an earned PhD from Mcgill University, a M.Ed from UNH, a BA from Boston University and a graduate certificate in School Law from UConn. As Superintendent, Amy also serves in the following roles:

Linda Loprete,
Director of HR, Payroll, & Benefits (lloprete@lincolnsd.org)
Serves as district HR Director
Manages all Payroll, including taxes, and any federal or state reporting related to payroll (ACA, W3, etc)
Oversees and coordinates all employee benefits
Elizabeth Maher has served as special educator for MAUSD at Lincoln Community School since 2008 before assuming the role of the district Director of Student Support Services (K-12) in 2023 when Lincoln School District was launched. Elizabeth has earned a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in Education Leadership and a Masters in Special Education from St. Michael’s College, in addition to a Bachelor of Arts, English from Hobart and William Smith College. Elizabeth’s additional responsibilities include:
