Greetings LCS community!

I am hopeful that this newsletter finds you well and excited for the renewal during spring. We are upon the time of year where things begin happening fast and furiously, and before we know it we will be wrapping up the school year. That being said, there are still so many wonderful and exciting things happening around school. Learning is in full force, it is absolutely delightful to watch as the children continue to make gains in not only their academic areas, but also their social emotional growth. I am constantly impressed by the level of growth mindset, resilience, encouragement, and risk that LCS students are willing to take when it comes to their learning. There is nothing this school is not willing to take on. We were able to wrap up winter with another successful year of “snow school”. We are extremely grateful for the Friends of LCS and their contribution to make sure all of our students have the opportunity to ski with one another and build skills outside of the classroom. The outcomes from snow school are evident both in and out of the classroom. We are also extremely grateful for both Rikert Outdoor Center and the Snow Bowl for offering their expertise and beautiful spaces to our community. Thank you to all of the caregivers for your commitment to partnering with our teachers during this last round of conferences. You will be receiving a survey attached to this newsletter to offer your input as it relates to our model for conferences. If you have additional feedback you would like to discuss, please do not hesitate to reach out directly to me. I will always make time. Thank you for all you do, we could not do it without you!

In partnership, Brooke King
